A Place To Find Support On Life’s Journey
WHO WE ARE...
Founded in 2018, Unity Park Station is a project of the Winter Night Shelter Milton Keynes. It aims to provide year-round support services to those in need from The Old Bus Station in Milton Keynes through working in partnership with other charities and agencies. Unity Park Station aims to be a place of welcome, where anyone struggling with life can find support and direction for the way ahead.
WE WORK WITH...
Anyone who feels vulnerable
Anyone experiencing poverty
Anyone with mental health needs
Anyone who is Homeless, vulnerably housed, or for whom homelessness may become possible.
Whilst the Winter Night Shelter Milton Keynes is there to support people at a point of crisis, either already rough sleeping or on the brink of it, Unity Park Station aims to combat the problems and vulnerabilities that can lead people on a path to homelessness. We combat homelessness by allowing people to access support for their struggles and by showing them what options are available to them, to stop a problem becoming a crisis.

HOW WE HELP
Change Happens with the Belief to Make a Difference
A CENTRAL POINT OF ACCESS
Often, those with the most need are the least equipped to find and access help. We believe that there is a strong benefit in creating and maintaining a central place in which people can access any number of services, and seek general help and advice toward finding a solution to needs that can be complex.
No matter how difficult, persistent, or self destructive our problems may seem, when we ask for help, we deserve to be heard. Our race, colour, ethnicity, gender, age, background, physical health, mental health, criminal record, or past history should never affect access to the service we’re entitled to.
A HELPING HAND
We believe in a level playing field. Nobody should be able to arrive in a position in life where they’re completely stuck, with nowhere to turn. There should always be a way out, and someone there to provide a helping hand to find it.
Prolonged, severe adversity can cause some people to give up on finding a solution or from seeking help. And typically, organisations will only help those that walk through their doors. We believe in seeking out those who are in the most need, starting conversations and relationships, and building trust so that no one feels forgotten.
We believe in taking direct action, including private fundraising, to work toward a sustainable, long term solution, run and owned by the community itself.
“We are each other's harvest;
we are each other's business;
we are each other's magnitude and bond.”
